| This piece can be used as a test piece or a concert piece. Circa 13’50” in total or 9’30” if you perform the piece with the optional cut. Dream Catchers is written in the style of a youth band test piece with lots of jazz and funk influences. It requires the conductor to choose their preferred soloists to play the solo’s written and they must perform the solos standing out at the front of the band. The piece is in three sections fast/slow/moderate with the slow sections requiring the soloists to play various cadenza’s before leading to a beautiful solo lead by the horn. It has a razzmatazz ending and lots of good melodies for the performers and audience to enjoy. |
